Contract Administration (Pre and Post contract services)

We have acted in the capacity of Contract Administrator, (CA) for several repair/refurbishment schemes. As Chartered Building Surveyors, we have a wealth of knowledge to deliver projects for various sector clients.  We ensure the project is administrated correctly, delivered to the specified quality/scope, on time and to budget.


The first stage of our condition survey process helps clients to establish budget and key remedial works.


The CA role can be quite complex and the selection of the correct procurement routes, contracts and administrating correctly is paramount to the success of any project.


Our CA service/role generally include:

  • Pre-contract

  • Establishing brief, scope, cost/budget advice

  • Design/feasibility

  • Building Regulations, Planning and compliance advice

  • Specification of works/schedules.

  • Principal Designers role (under CDM)

  • Tendering process including contractor selection, contract docs, reports and preparing contract documentation

  • Post contract

  • Pre commencement and progress meetings

  • Site visits during the construction stage

  • Administrating the contract including issuing instructions, PC and valuation payments

  • Snagging and final account works

  • Preparing handover files and O&M manuals

Principal Designers role under Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM)

We have been involved in several health and safety compliance roles. We are fully converse with the Principal Designers, (PD) role to ensure clients carry out their duties as detailed under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.


Our PD services include:

  • Liaising with key duty holders including clients, designers and Principal Contractors to manage, identify and eliminate/control foreseeable risks.

  • Plan, manage, monitor and coordinate health and safety at Pre-Construction stage of a project.

  • Ensure good exchange of information and proper forward planning through our bespoke risk matrix register.

  • Review handover/O&M manuals for compliance.
